Ayman Harper on Staging Blake Works I

Preparing for an SF Ballet Premiere in 2022

As the beginning of the 2022 Season and our celebratory return to the War Memorial Opera House draws near, we are moved as our stagers and dancers continue to prepare for the incredible season ahead of us.

We are overjoyed for the San Francisco Ballet premiere of Blake Works I this February in Program 2, alongside Jerome Robbins’ moody, romantic In the Night and Helgi Tomasson’s lyrical, graceful Caprice. Learn more from Blake Works I stager Ayman Harper about the process of staging this beautiful piece for the company.
