Behind the Proscenium: Thomas Richards-Keyes on Swan Lake
What It Takes to Prep a Story Ballet for the Stage
It may be the final days of summer, but our Wardrobe, Hair & Make-Up teams are already hard at work on mice whiskers, snowflake sparkles, and sugar plum tiaras. In our final episode of Behind the Proscenium, Head of Hair & Make-Up Thomas Richards-Keyes discusses what it takes to prep a story ballet like Nutcracker or Swan Lake from year to year.
This series was filmed at SF Ballet’s warehouse in early 2021.
