Program 03 features Danielle Rowe's first mainstage production for SF Ballet – Wooden Dimes. The meteoric rise of Betty Fine—from chorus girl to vaudeville star—puts her marriage to office worker Robert Fine to the test in Danielle Rowe’s world premiere dance film Wooden Dimes. This roaring 20s, art deco-inspired film is also a love letter to a life in the theater and the backstage world that’s been dark for a year.

Also included in the program is Symphony #9, highlighting two lead couples and a solo male set against designer George Tsypin’s backdrop of grays and splashes of red recalling works of Socialist realism. Closing the program, Yuri Possokhov’s fan-favorite Swimmer brings audiences on a psychedelic multimedia journey through loneliness, love, and 1960s pop culture.
