Dance. Move. Integrate. Engage.
For over 40 years, San Francisco Ballet has partnered with San Francisco Unified School District to provide free dance education programs for PK–12 students. SF Ballet’s current education programs for PK–12 schools include in-school, before-school, and after-school dance residencies, professional development workshops for PK–12 educators, Student Matinee performances by SF Ballet Dancers accompanied by the SF Ballet Orchestra, and pre-performance classroom visits through the Student Matinee Docent Program.

Dance In Schools & Communities
SF Ballet’s Dance in Schools and Communities program (DISC) provides access to free dance education for PK–12 SFUSD students.
Student Matinees
Student Matinees introduce school groups to the joy and wonder of ballet. An interactive program features excerpts from popular ballets, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to stage a performance.

Teacher Resources
SF Ballet offers several resources to help PK–12 teachers, school administrators, and parents incorporate dance into the classroom. From study guides to Professional Development Workshops, we make ballet accessible.
