San Francisco Ballet is prioritizing the health and safety of our patrons, artists, crew, administrators, and volunteers. During the 2022 Season, SF Ballet will require event attendees 12 and over to show proof of full vaccination. Per San Francisco city guidelines, San Francisco Ballet will require all guests aged 12 and older to show proof of full vaccination* to attend performances or events at the War Memorial Opera House or at 455 Franklin Street. Patrons will also be required to show a photo ID alongside proof of vaccination to enter. Patrons can show either paper or electronic documentation (including a photo of the card).

Per the health order from San Francisco Department of Public Health, children under 12 years of age must provide a negative COVID-19 test result (either PCR or antigen test) taken within 48 hours of the start time of the event or performance they are attending at the War Memorial Opera House or 455 Franklin Street.

*Per the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a person is considered fully vaccinated greater than or equal to two weeks after completion of a two-dose mRNA series or single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

SF Ballet will require event guests to follow any applicable federal, state, local, tribal, venue, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations. Guests will be asked to wear masks in accordance with any current masking guidelines.

For certain events, guests may also be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result, in addition to proof of full vaccination, before entering the event venue. Specific and timely health and safety requirements for each event will be emailed to guests in a “Know Before You Go” message no later than 3 days prior. SF Ballet will update this website as safety protocols adapt.

Event attendees who do not follow the event requirements will not be permitted at the event venue. If you have questions about SF Ballet’s event safety protocol, please contact Jennifer Sawma, Helgi Tomasson Celebration Season Coordinator, at jsawma@sfballet.org.

We thank you for your willingness to adhere to our safety protocols so that we may enjoy a wonderful 2022 Season.
